fan coil?
(Ans.)Fan coil is a air conditioning unit. Its main
components are coil and fin heat exchanger, fan, drain
pan. If you pump chilling water into the heat exchager, then the
fan will send out cool air, If you pump
hot water into the heat exchager, the fan will send out warm
air.
(2)Where is suitable to install fan
coil?
(Ans.)Big bluidings are suitable to install fan coil
units, such as: Air port, hospital, office bluilding, hotel,
department store, school, factory...
(3)How to
order fan
coil (FC)?
(Ans.)Before ordering fan coil please make sure the
following items:
1) Type of fan coil: there 5 type of fan coils: Ceiling
concealed type / Ceiling cabinet type / Floor concealed
type / Floor cabinet type / cassete type?
2) Air volume?
3) Cooling capacity?
4) Cooling inlet air temperture? (Standard is 27ºC DB/19.5 ºC
WB)

chilling water temperture?
(Standard is
7ºC/12ºC)
6) Heating capacity?
( Please answer " No". if your project does not require)
7) Heating inlet air temperture? (Standard is 21ºC DB)

10) External static pressure? ( If your FCU is a concealed type,

order air handling unit (AHU)?
(Ans.)Before ordering air handling unit please make sure the

(5)Why we
have to expand the copper tubes?
(Ans.)The copper tubes have to be inserted into the holes of
aluminium fins to form a heat exchanger.
In order to insert these tubes into the holes, so holes on the
fins must be bigger than the tubes.
After all the tubes were inserted into the holes, we must expand
the tubes, so that the outer surface
of the tubes can tightly join with the fins to get a high
efficiency of heat transfer.
(6)What is the different between hydraulic
expansion and mechanic expansion?
(Ans.)Hydraulic expansion is using water to expand the copper
tubes. After the copper tubes were
inserted into the fins, the headers and all the bends were
welded, we close one header and pump
high pressure water into the tubes from the other one header,
when the pressue rise up to about
14 Mpa.The tubes reached their max. expansion. Mechanic
expansion is using a steel ball to expand
the tube. The diameter of the ball is bigger than the inner
diameter of the tube, and the ball is
connected with a long steel bar. After all the tubes were
inserted into the holes, we start the mechanic
expansion machine to push this ball into the tubes, then the
tube expands.
Pros and cons of these expansions:
1) After expanding, the mechanic expansion needs to do leakage
test. But the hydraulic one is
expanding and testing at the same time, so it does not need to
do additional test.
2) The leakage test pressure of mechanic expansion is about 4
Mpa. The hydraulic one is 14 Mpa,
so its guarantee of quality is much higher than mechanic
expansion.
3) The hydraulic expansion requires high quality of copper tube,
otherwise the tubes will be broken
after applying such high pressure.
4) The process of hydraulic expansion is slow, it requires more
time.
5) It needs expansion oil in the mechanic expansion process, and
it also needs to clean this oil
after expanding, otherwise this oil will be oxidized in the
welding process.
6) The mechanic expansion's steel ball may hurt the inner
surface of the copper tube, when it is
pu inserted into the tube by force. Then these tubes
tend to break when the high pressure chilling or
heating water is running in them.
(7)What is Skype?
Skype is a useful tool to send
message or call to your friends. It is free of charge. What you
have to
prepare is: 1) Bigger then 100K ADSL, 2) Earphone with
microphone.
Open http://skype.tom.com/products/en/download.html ,
TOM-Skype3.8 for Windows, Click “Download
Now”. Install “TOM-SkypeSetup.exe”. After the installation the
Skype sign will appear at the bottom
right-hand corner of your screen. It means your Skype is on
line, it can receive your friend’s message
and call. When you restart your computer, don’t forget to
activate your Skype, otherwise your friend can
not reach you.
